Dr. Dammika Patabadi, Minister of Env Visit CEA

Dr. Dammika Patabendi, Minister of Environment, made a preliminary visit to the CEA on the 24th of December, accompanied by Mr. Anton Jayakodi, Deputy Minister of Environment, and Mr. K.R. Uduwawala, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment.
Prof. Tilak Hewawasam, Chairman of the CEA, welcomed the guests and outlined the objectives of the meeting. Mr. Padmasiri Moonamale, Director General of the CEA, briefed everyone on the functions and future plans of the organization.
Dr. Chandi Wijayasinghe, Director of Planning, presented critical future plans with the participation of the respective divisions. The Deputy Director Generals of HRD, Finance, and Administration highlighted the bottlenecks and issues faced by the institution.
During the meeting, the minister and other guests discussed these matters and proposed solutions to overcome the challenges. This meeting was fruitful for the further development of the authority.
