Preparation of Technical Guidelines for locating Industries in an environmental friendly manner

During the last two decades, rapid industrial development and population growth have contributed to the deterioration of the environmental quality in Sri Lanka.

The CEA has been entrusted with the task of preparing sector guideline to control industrial pollution.
The main purpose of the preparation of these guidelines is to assist Local Governmental Authorities and industrial community to control industrial pollution and to meet the requirements of the Environmental Protection Licensing scheme.
