The Central Environmental Authority organized the “Presidential Environmental Awards 2021-2022” on 28th April 2023at the Lotus Hall, BMICH under the patronage of His Excellency the President RanilWickramasinghe. Hon. NazeerAhamed, Minister of Environment, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Mr. Supun S Pathirage, Chairman, Central Environmental Authority, Mr. P B HemanthaJayasinghe, Director General, Central Environmental Authority, Senior Officals and award winners participated in this occasion.

To recognize the Eco friendly best practices in the industrial sector, Best government/ private institution, renewable energy generating projects, Best Exploratory Electronic and print media institutions, Best Eco friendly Schools and Eco friendly innovation this awarding ceremony is organized.
In this awarding ceremony 90 individuals and entities awarded with Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit awards.
