Pilisaru Project donated Bio gas plant for Aloka Elder’s Home


The Pilisaru project of the Central Environmental Authority has donated Bio Gas plant to Aloka Elder’s home, Panadura. As a solution to daily generated waste in the Elder’s home, this plant has been established. According to the request made by the Mr. Piyal Fernando, Head of the home from the Pilisaru project, this plant was provided by the CEA.On 20th February 2019 the Bio gas plant was handed over to the Elder’s home with the presence of Ms. Sarojini Jayasekara, Director, Waste Management. Mr. Fernando expressed that, the cost for L P gas will be reduced up to 60%  due to the bio gas plant and this will be a good advantage for their home.

By expressing the views Ms. Sarojini Jayasekara said that, Bio gas is very efficient and Eco friendly method for waste management and to recover the energy. Mr. Sheemal Thisera, Specialist, Bio gas technology and Consultant also participated in the occasion.
