Reading of Stamps

To give a broad knowledge and idea about the story on the stamps, the National Information Centre of CEA organized a program “Reading of Stamps” for the staff members and their children. The program was held on 4th December 2018 at CEA Auditorium.
Mr. Niroshana Peiris, coordinator, Centre for Human Rights and Research, briefly explained about the evolution of the stamp, history of stamps and the beauty of stamps. In his presentation he expressed that how the Mahaveli river and other special places get included in different stamps and the behind story of each of them.
Mr. Gamini Jayasinghe, Deputy Director General (DDG), EE & A, Ms. Kanthi de Silva, DDG, Environment Management & Assesment, Ms. Shyamani Periyapperuma, Director- Environment Promotion Unit, Ms. Chandrika Dabare, Director- National Information Centre, staff members and their children actively participated in this interesting program.
