Senior staff of CEA Inspect the Polythene usage in Market Level

According to the Cabinet Paper No. 17/1405/704/022 on 29.06.2017 manufacturing, trading and use of selected polythene products including Lunch Sheets, Shopping bags and Grocery bags and polystyrene (regiform) disposable lunch boxes have been banned with effect from 01.09.2017.
In order to observe the current situation of the availability and the usage of polythene in supermarkets, Prof. Lal Dharmasiri, Chairman and other senior officials of CEA participated for an inspection on the 2nd of August in supermarkets in Battaramulla city.
