Suwasara Thaksalava is a national level program conducted by the CEA with the cooperation of Ministry of Education in the schools where Pioneer Program is established.
This program was first started in 2002 in which Dengue and other epidemic were spread in the island and some of the schools have been affected. CEA started this program to counter the situation and make the environment of the schools more healthy and clean.
In order to encourage promote the program among schools, CEA introduced an annual competition. The winners are selected from district level and the three schools with more clean and healthy environment in each district will be selected in this competition.
