The Central Environmental Authority realised the necessity of giving birth to a Eco Friendly Generation through making them knowledgable on the environment published a "Teachers" Guide Book on Environmental Education for pre schools targeting on the children of pre schools in the year 2000.

The 2nd volume Teachers Guide Book on Environmental Education was published in the year 2006.

These books are delivered by all island Divisional Environmental Officers for all the pre schools in the island.
