An Environment Pioneer who participates in the Programme has the opportunity to win up to five (5) badges. They are as follows:

 
Envt. Pioneer badge
Green badge
Silver badge
Gold badge
President's badge
 
Procedure to be followed and Activities to be completed for the
Environment Badges:
 
Pioneer Badge - (Parisara Niyama)
 
 
  1. Participation in 6 lectures on Environment
  2. Planting three plants and nursing them for 6 months
  3. Maintain Record Book
  4. Ability to recite/sing the Environment Oath and Environment song
  5. Observation Report on Environment
  Green Badge - (Haritha)
 
 
  1. Participation at 08 lectures/workshops/training classes
  2. Preparation of a record on flora and fauna and keeping records on one such animal and a tree
  3. Preparation of a Plant Book
  4. Maintaining the Record Book
  5. Conducting the examination
  Silver Badge - (Rajatha)
 
 
  1. Adequate knowledge of Environmental Pollution
  2. Successful completion of soil conservation and land scaping acitivities
  3. Introducing a fuel saving method for the home/school
  4. Identifying flora and fauna in a given environment
  5. Presentation of variety items (drama/paintings/music/photographs/publications/poster/ exhibitions etc.) under the theme of environmental conservation
  6. Conduct of the Examination
  Gold Badge - (Swarna)
 
 
  1. A situation report on environmental pollution in a given village/city/an area
  2. Introducing 05 indigenous technological methods
  3. Presentation of three models on the use of recycled waste material
  4. Holding two lectures on environmental conservation
  5. Conduct of the examination
  Presidential Badge - (Janadipathi)
 
 
  1. Implement Envt. project to mitigate school envt. problems for a present a year.
  2. Active participation in environmental conservation activities
  3. Co-operation with government institutions dealing with environmental matters
  4. Knowledge of the Natural Environment Act and environmental standards
  5. Preparing a proposal for an environmental project
  6. Conduct of the examination
  Badge Awarding Ceremonies
 
  • Environment Pioneer Badge at school level ceremony organize by Teacher in charge.

  • Haritha Badge awarding at environment education zonal level ceremony organize by District Environment Officers and Zonal Envt. Pioneer Commissioners.

  • Rajatha Badge awarding at District Level ceremony organize by District Environment Officer of CEA and District Office with the assistance of District Envt. Pioneer Commissioners

  • Swarna Badge awarding ceremony Provincial Level organize by the Provincial Office of CEA

  • President's Badge ceremony at National Level organize by CEA Head Office are conducted.
