Under these three sub sections the unit implements the regulatory mechanisms and monitoring under the provisions of the National Environmental Act and the other related regulations. WMU is one of the sections of the CEA that directly deals with international treaties (Basel, Rotterdam) that stand for Environmental protection. The unit also plays a key role in Industrial Disaster Management and implementation of specialm model projects. Apart from all these functions WMU also provides necessary awareness and educational assistance for the general public.
