The E-Friends II scheme aims at providing technical assistance and low cost loans to assist industrial enterprises in finding solutions to the environmental problems, such as industrial pollution caused due to the manufacturing process, energy consumption, waste minimization, resource recovery and savings, and pollution control and abatement.

The E-Friends II assists industries to comply with the regulations and standards of the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) under the National Environment Act and also to make their processes energy efficient.
